I mastered the Spring Form Pan!!

WOO WHOO!! Finally after, literally AT LEAST 10 YEARS of trying..... I have mastered the spring form pan!! YEAH!! So excited, I have attempted a many a dessert and ended up with a disaster and complete mess. Last night I couldn't decide what to cook, so I went through a few recipe cards, specifically the ones I received from all friends and family during my showers: on one side is the recipe for marriage or advice and the other a recipe from the kitchen. It was a great idea and I treasure each card! Anyways, I used the pork and rice recipe from Chasity Beasley, it was awesome. Tyson just loved it! I also made a little apptz from my awesome college girlfriend, Lauren 'puttin on the ritz' Tyson also enjoyed it very much!! Go La, who'd a thought :) And finally I made the dessert! It was a recipe from our realtor's Marsha and Carl: Mud Pie, but I would call it chocolate oreo pie! Tyson had wanted me to make the Jello Oreo dessert when we where at Publix the other day, but I was like 'no, no we don't need that' BUT after he had a few pretty tough days at work and was really down the day before I figured this was similar and had his fav' Oreos. Well it was wonderful and not that hard! PLUS, I mastered the spring form pan!! :) I'm including a picture, that's how excited I am! I cook a lot, most nights, and love it!! Trying new things can be scary, but all 3 new things, and all 3 great!!

AHHHH!! I get so excited every time!!

I LOVE seeing the Oscar Meyer Winnie Truck! So exciting! Last year I saw one on the interstate during rush hour and almost killed a few people including myself to catch up to it and take a picture. Well luckily this time the truck was parked, so no injuries :) How awesome, I just love it!

Haircut...

SO.... I got my hair cut again.... It seems to get shorter each time :) I like it, and Tyson likes his 'new wife' Its kind of the same style, just shorter! I LOVE EMILY!! No matter what she does with my hair it always looks AWESOME!! She's amazing and I love her!! Obviously because I drive to Fayette, but it's worth it! If you need a hair dresser, she's it! WORTH THE DRIVE!!

Happy 4th of July

We had a wonderful long weekend in Guntersville. Friday Tyson golfed with friends at Gunter's Landing (thanks for hooking him up Stephen Worthy) and I shopped with a friend.... We both enjoyed our day very much! :) We ate wonderful dinners every night and enjoyed seeing the family. From Florida my Grandma Linda, Great Gramma Wieder, Aunt Dawn, her boyfriend Jimmy, two kids Sid and Morgan, my Aunt Yvonne, recently back from Japan, her two kids Shelby and Garren were all here.... SO a house full!! Tyson and I stayed next door with my grandmother, Lyda Mae. Saturday we woke up and prepared for a big day and FISH FRY!! We had a mess of food to eat! The fish was cooked the old time way in a big black pot under fire. At the fish fry we had our pastor and his wife Bro. Joey and Shirley; Ruth and Donald, church friends; Haskel and Christine, great aunt and uncle; all the Florida bunch, Jenny, Jason, Caroline, Jeannen, Lynn, Buck, Lisa, ALL cousins... Then we cleaned up and visited a BBQ up the road at the old home place/ log cabin of our families.... THEN, we headed down to the fireworks at Lake Guntersville with pizza and homemade ice cream. It was all wonderful! We even got to pass the phone around and talk to Joy.
The cupacake flag in the picture I made for the nursing home where Ila-Jay is at, she was wearing a cute 4th shirt mom had gotten her. She looked really good. I hate I forgot to get pictures. She looks great though, you can even tell she's gained weight. She also had her hair done last week and it looks REALLY GOOD! I am so thankful she's at such a nice place and enjoying herself. AND she enjoys when Puppy Luke comes to visit. Luke also had a super cute 4th shirt her wore proudly and a light up necklace at the fireworks.
Tyson and I are thankful to all our military taking care of us and our freedoms! We hope everyone had a nice 4th of July weekend!
