Home!

We got home and unloaded both cars, opened more gifts and cards, started laundry (which I'm still working on), and did some work around the house. The yard was awful, so Tyson's mowed first thing. Our rose bushes outside were in full bloom, so I cut a few to enjoy inside. Tyson's parents came up to see everything we'd gotten and brought us a super nice, heavy duty pots and pans set. Mrs. Littlejohn has had her set for a very long time and she loves them, so she got Tyson and I a set. I can't wait to get the house back in order and try them out cooking. We also were blessed again with a truck load of gifts! Everyone's been so generous! Especially our families and friends from Clanton, Florida, and Guntersville.

The wedding aftermath...

When we got home, my mom had decorated Tyson's car too! It was fun driving back to Bham together. The babies and milk jugs were still in the yard, a little beat up :) The flowers still looked great and the cake was still really GOOD! My dress looked sad, but it's ok I get to wear it one more time for pictures...

A few things I missed and heading home...

Just a few pictures I missed putting up. The second one in in the elevator at our hotel, the hotel has painting and murals everywhere. There's a picture of the hotel on the second row. Also that MASSIVE BUNNY!! That bunny was at the zoo and we could not get over it's size! Finally the plane ride home... Such a great trip! Thanks Tyson!

Last stops...

After the zoo we headed down to Navy Pier to eat at Bubba Gump's. Tyson's popcorn shrimp came in a popcorn box, I thought that was so funny. Then we headed back to the hotel to do some packing up and get ready for our last night out. We had reservations at the Signature Room, very nice!! It's a restaurant on top of the Hancock Tower (5th tallest in the world). The food was wonderful and so was the view. It was such a nice end to the perfect week!

Day 5: The Zoo

Our last full day in Chicago we had a nice breakfast down stairs and a couples massage. It was such a nice thing to do as our trip wrapped up. Then Tyson and I walked across the street to the zoo, it's Free! We had a lot of fun! We just took our time looking at what we wanted and got the girls some gifts. The best part was the farm section... yes farm. It's funny the last picture is what you see a big red barn with the big city behind. I liked the scale: I weigh about a kid goat and Tyson weighs about 3 calves. The polar bears were Tyson's favorite, they both had a good time looking at each other, he even posed with Tyson for a picture :)

Night 4: Toni & Tina's Wedding

We went to a very comedic dinner theatre Wednesday night. It was fun and Tyson really like the food. It was an all out wedding and reception. They had a lot of fun with it as you can probably tell by the pictures.

Day 4: Museum of Science & Industry

We had a lot of fun at the museum. We saw a submarine, the circus exhibit, the farm section, and an amazing train track design.

More Walking About...

We did a lot of eating and a lot of walking, so we figured it evened out, maybe... We were obsessed with this two story McDonald's with the arches coming out of it and the second floor wall to wall in flat screen TV's. It's was cool! We also ate at a great place called Ed Debevics. Look at that burger! It's a 50's style dinner with great food and nuty servers. It's all just a big joke, but the food's definitely not! We were full but had to split a milkshake... awh... Then we passed by the Hershey shop! We had to buy some chocolate for the family at home. Tyson seemed to get a hat everywhere we went... Ha Ha We also drove out to the OPRAH studios, it was late and we kind of got left in the middle of who knows where, but we made it back safe.

Navy Pier

We visited the Navy Pier several times. It was a great place to eat a bit, shop, and get a great view of the city. I even got Tyson to ride the big Ferris Wheel with me! It was a lot of fun, we even made a penny!

We ate and ate and ATE!!!

Chicago is known for the good food and we ATE IT ALL!!!! A friend of mine suggested some great places to eat and things to do and he was right on with everything! We had the 'chicago pizza' , had some wonderful steak at Keefer's (Food Networks #1 place in Chicago), the dinner cruise, the Signature Room, and of course we stopped by "Bubba Gump's" named from the movie Forrest Gump. Super Cute!

At Keefer's they were so nice! My water never got 1/2 empty! The food was excellent and they even sent us a dessert on the house as a congratulations! We were so full but the few bites we took were AMAZING!! It's the best chocolate dessert I've ever put in my mouth!

Day 3: Cub's Game

Taxi Cab to Wrigley Field $12

MLB Cubs Tickets $60

Concession Food & Drinks $27

Picture with "Just Married" Poster at Cubs Game
PRICELESS
It was fun! My mom suggested we make a sign, so the night before we wondered around downtown and found a Walgreen's. We spent $20 trying to make that sign and it didn't turn out too great, but it was fun. The game ended up not being on TV, but everyone cheered for us and the Cubs photographers took our picture and put it up on their web page. Tyson really enjoyed the game and it was a nice experience.

1st Night in Chicago

Our first day/night in Chicago was perfect. We landed mid day, got checked in to the hotel, which was huge and very nice!! (dinning room, full kitchen, living room, 2 bath rooms, and bed room with view of the city, lake, and park!) We got a little rest and unpacked some things for the week. Then we got ready and went down to the Navy Peir for a Dinner Cruise. It was very nice. Tyson and I had a private table for 2 by the window with roses and glasses to keep. It was so nice to sit down and get to see the city and realx. We really enjoyed talking and catching up. We enjoyed some dancing and we we're announced as the Newlyweds on board with another couple.

CHICAGO!!!

We arrived in Chicago and had our first experience with the TAXI drivers.... Wow! Let's just say they use their horns and BRAKES!! These are just a few pictures of the city from our hotel room, the boat, the peir, downtown, and the Hancock. We had a lot of fun and got to see some great things!

Honeymoon...

We got a great deal flying out of Nashville, so we drove part of the way and stayed the night in Huntsville. It was wonderful! We could not have asked for a better place. Great beds, breakfast, everything! The next day I had my "Just Married" outfit on and ready to fly. Our flight was not too early, so we didn't have to rush.

Wedding Day: April 19, 2008

Bridesmaids Brunch
It was such a lovely break from all the work and busy things going on to sit down just the girls. The Rock House and Neena did a wonderful job. (especially hiding Tyson, when he was eating there as I walked in, silly boy!!)

After brunch we all headed off to run a few more errands and get ready!! Emily came all the way to help with with my hair and make up. It turned out beautifully! Then we rushed to the church for pictures and it flew by from there....

I don't really have any pictures from the wedding fun, but as soon as I do, I'll post them!

The Rehearsal...

Look at me trying to get everyone in place, HA HA...

Well, I didn't really take many pictures, even though I had my camera! I'm such a nut! We did get a few pictures of our parents opening their gifts at the dinner. Tyson huggin his dad. Tyson gave my dad two cows and a chicken for Me in exchange. HA HA The dinner was so nice and everyone truly enjoyed themselves. Thanks Mr & Mrs Littlejohn!

Work...

My family put in A LOT of work.... my MOM, Dad, Tyson, me, Gandma Linda, Bob, Aunt Dawn, Gramma Wieder, the CHURCH!! Wow we have a great church family!! Such a blessing! Everyone came and helped make the wedding possible! BIG THANKS!!
