Daughtry

What a great concert!! My girl friend's husband got free tickets to Daughtry and of course me having a thing for bald men, was ECSTATIC to go! We had a lot of fun! There were fireworks, crazy lights, just a great performance and set! He even sat down in the middle of the stage and sang Phil Collins, amazing!! After the show it was SNOWING, in Alabama!! We ran around in downtown like we were 2nd graders :) The pictures aren't' great, I didn't have my camera, just my BB.

It's ok, I'm a teacher

Well my teacher friends make fun of me because I don't generally wear jeans, I don't have very many Christmas shirts and no sweaters! So, I tried really hard this week to rock out the Christmas. Twice this week as I was getting ready Tyson said "Really? You're going to wear that? In pupblic? Really?" YES, really I wore a green turle neck with a red sweater jacket, some great $1 Christmas jewlry... and Friday I decided to really do it up! I wore a shirt I had bought with one of my best teacher friends, she bought the same one (and yes we wore them the same day), candy cane socks, with fur, and ornament earrings! It was funny! It's OK, I'm a teacher!!! I'm allowed! What the excuse for all these other people??

Luke's Christmas Tree

Hobby Lobby had the cutest puppy ornaments and tree trimming items, and 50% OFF so of course Luke had to have his own tree. It's really small and is sitting up on a table since he seems to destroy anything near the floor. It's cute though!

Luke's Trip(s) to See Santa!

Well, we started out to visit Santa at Pet Smart last weekend, VERY EXCITED.... and let's just say Santa sent a helper to do his job and it didn't go so well. BUT I really wanted the picture frames that came with the photo so we got two super cute frames, are -$20, and have 2 really bad photos to show for it all. I was so distraut that my sweet babies first Christmas pictures with Santa were going to be these two glowing devil eyes, we-we showing, bad fake Santa pictures, that I called the REAL Santa (at the Galleria...) They allow puppies and pets to come see Santa on Monday nights and lucky for us it was Sunday.

Welllll, the 2nd trip to Santa was a bit better. We enjoyed visiting with the other puppies and Santa was wonderful! BUT we only got four shots and with so many pets and lights and noises we never really looked at the camera and we definitely didn't cooperate turning our head so you could see my cute sparkly bow, BUT no glowing eyes or fake Santa. All is well and we're fixing wallets to send to friends and family. We're also getting Luke's very nice ornament his Bebe got him to put his picture in for the tree.

Thanksgiving!

We had a rocks and lights filled Thanksgiving week. We visited Rock City with Tyson's family. I had a wonderful time with Vivi, Kepler, and Dax! They are the most wonderful kidos!

Halloween

Welll, we had trouble figuring out what to be... BUT we had a wonderful time with all our friends and family in Guntersville! Mom and Dad dressed as Ketchup and Mustard. Tyson and I were GI Joe and Cindy Loper (80's).

LUKE, pre Halloween

Well, Luke's outfit FIT at one time... Dude has grown out of his costume in one month! :0 Oh my... and he ate a protein, omega rich, chocolate bar today at 5pm, and proceeded to vomit for the next 30 mins.... We've had an eventful night. We are headed to Guntersville for the big G'ville vs. A'ville game and Halloween at my parents. My mom ROCKS Halloween! Should have many more post to come!

Roll Tide!!

We had a GREAT trip to Atlanta! We got to see some great friends from college and enjoy the kickoff to football season in Atlanta!! We stayed at the Omni, which was perfect! Right beside the stadium and gameday and close to... everything! The Omni hosted a great tailgate party, we enjoyed hanging out with our friends! The second half wasn't very much fun, but we pulled through! Luke stayed with Bebe, Pop, Steven, Hilary, and Vivi! BIG thanks for taking care of our little man!

A busy end to summer

We ended the summer with a couple of wedding, a trip to Indiana for Snowball's wedding, getting my classroom in order, finishing up therapy, and having fun at Kindg. Camp! A few pictures from the summers end!

I mastered the Spring Form Pan!!

WOO WHOO!! Finally after, literally AT LEAST 10 YEARS of trying..... I have mastered the spring form pan!! YEAH!! So excited, I have attempted a many a dessert and ended up with a disaster and complete mess. Last night I couldn't decide what to cook, so I went through a few recipe cards, specifically the ones I received from all friends and family during my showers: on one side is the recipe for marriage or advice and the other a recipe from the kitchen. It was a great idea and I treasure each card! Anyways, I used the pork and rice recipe from Chasity Beasley, it was awesome. Tyson just loved it! I also made a little apptz from my awesome college girlfriend, Lauren 'puttin on the ritz' Tyson also enjoyed it very much!! Go La, who'd a thought :) And finally I made the dessert! It was a recipe from our realtor's Marsha and Carl: Mud Pie, but I would call it chocolate oreo pie! Tyson had wanted me to make the Jello Oreo dessert when we where at Publix the other day, but I was like 'no, no we don't need that' BUT after he had a few pretty tough days at work and was really down the day before I figured this was similar and had his fav' Oreos. Well it was wonderful and not that hard! PLUS, I mastered the spring form pan!! :) I'm including a picture, that's how excited I am! I cook a lot, most nights, and love it!! Trying new things can be scary, but all 3 new things, and all 3 great!!

AHHHH!! I get so excited every time!!

I LOVE seeing the Oscar Meyer Winnie Truck! So exciting! Last year I saw one on the interstate during rush hour and almost killed a few people including myself to catch up to it and take a picture. Well luckily this time the truck was parked, so no injuries :) How awesome, I just love it!

No matter what she does with my hair it always looks AWESOME!! She's amazing and I love her!! Obviously because I drive to Fayette, but it's worth it! If you need a hair dresser, she's it! WORTH THE DRIVE!!

Happy 4th of July

We had a wonderful long weekend in Guntersville. Friday Tyson golfed with friends at Gunter's Landing (thanks for hooking him up Stephen Worthy) and I shopped with a friend.... We both enjoyed our day very much! :) We ate wonderful dinners every night and enjoyed seeing the family. From Florida my Grandma Linda, Great Gramma Wieder, Aunt Dawn, her boyfriend Jimmy, two kids Sid and Morgan, my Aunt Yvonne, recently back from Japan, her two kids Shelby and Garren were all here.... SO a house full!! Tyson and I stayed next door with my grandmother, Lyda Mae. Saturday we woke up and prepared for a big day and FISH FRY!! We had a mess of food to eat! The fish was cooked the old time way in a big black pot under fire. At the fish fry we had our pastor and his wife Bro. Joey and Shirley; Ruth and Donald, church friends; Haskel and Christine, great aunt and uncle; all the Florida bunch, Jenny, Jason, Caroline, Jeannen, Lynn, Buck, Lisa, ALL cousins... Then we cleaned up and visited a BBQ up the road at the old home place/ log cabin of our families.... THEN, we headed down to the fireworks at Lake Guntersville with pizza and homemade ice cream. It was all wonderful! We even got to pass the phone around and talk to Joy.
The cupacake flag in the picture I made for the nursing home where Ila-Jay is at, she was wearing a cute 4th shirt mom had gotten her. She looked really good. I hate I forgot to get pictures. She looks great though, you can even tell she's gained weight. She also had her hair done last week and it looks REALLY GOOD! I am so thankful she's at such a nice place and enjoying herself. AND she enjoys when Puppy Luke comes to visit. Luke also had a super cute 4th shirt her wore proudly and a light up necklace at the fireworks.
Tyson and I are thankful to all our military taking care of us and our freedoms! We hope everyone had a nice 4th of July weekend!

Vivi's 4 1/2 Birthday Pool Party!!

We had a fabulous time at Vivi's 4 1/2 Birthday Party!! Everyone winter Birthday kid's dream is to have a Birthday pool party (I know I was a Jan. Bday). There were over 40 kidos there! It was a great time for all the kids and Tyson! Tyson had an exhausting and wonderful time playing with the kids, throwing them around, playing basketball, and water guns! He was so great with everyone, awww... Vivi had a super cute 4 1/2 hat and such a cute Bday cake! Haley, Kepler, and Dax mad the trip up, along with all Vivi's cousins and grandparents! The weather turned out perfect, not too hot. Later we went back to the house for pizza and presents. Vivi loved everything and I was jealous of some super cute pool towels she got! Luke even came out to play after dinner, he wore his Lifeguard shirt to join in the spirit of the pool party :) It was great fun! Thanks Hilary and Steven for throwing a great party!!

Birmingham 7's Rugby Tourn.

Tyson played in the Birmingham 7's Rugby Tourn this weekend and it was HOT!!! WOW!! VERY HOT!! There were a lot of really great teams there: Orlando, Ole Miss, Alabama, a few Atlanta teams, Battleship (Mobile), Huntsville, Chattanooga, several girl teams and many more... Tyson, Danny, and Taylor played with Battleship and won one game and lost two by just points... They had a great time playing together again and just having fun! We saw a lot of old Bama Ruggers from all different teams and got to catch up. It was a great weekend with ruggers and friends. Luke had a great time watching his first rugby game. He was sporting his new bandanna that said "RRR... RUGBY" It was cute! Bless his heart it was so, so hot, but he had fun playing with the other dogs and puppies. We tried to give him a mohawk, but it didn't stay up real well....

Mid South Conference

The weekend before I attended the Mid South Reading and Writing Conference. Friday we had some good speakers and I really got some great ideas and book suggestions from some of the speakers. I also ran into teachers from my old private school, TA, teachers I had at UA, and friends I went to school with at UA, so that was really cool too. My principal and vice principal were there, along with two 3rd grade teachers, three 2nd grade teachers, including myself, and our reading interventionist. One of the sessions we went to on Friday was by a Shelby County teacher and she was AMAZING!! WOW!! She made me want to rush back to work! The lunch was great, All Around Town Catering, FYI. Mrs. Chesler and Mrs. Weismann got into it as one of the singers got us all up moving and dancing. Saturday was the big day, the Two Sister, who wrote the Daily 5 and the new book CAFE were going to be there to speak.... That's when the fun began, the Two Sisters had been delayed on their flight, there was NO power or AC at the school, the projectors continued to short out, did I mention NO AC!! IN JUNE!! WOW! Good news is we all got our books signed and they were so positive and great speakers!! We suffered through most of the day!

Happy Birthday Kepler & Dax!!

What a wonderful weekend and Birthday Party, even with the rain! Haley worked so hard and put together a fabulous party for Kepler and Dax! It was so cute! There was a little western town made outside, with horse rides, guns, cowboy hats, cowboy cupcakes and hay! The children all had a great time! The boys outfits were so cute!! Vivi was so excited she 'drove' a horse... Dax was very concentrated on his cupcake in the picture above :)

I thought this was a great picture from L-R

My Sweet Great Aunt!

My family is going through a special situation with my grandmother's sister. Any one's prayers would be greatly appreciated! My Great Aunt, Mrs. Ila Jay, is doing wonderful!! She is really thriving at an assisted living home. The nurses and staff there are unbelievable! They have been so kind and caring with Mrs. Ila Jay. AND Ila Jay has been a hoot! She's so funny and really enjoys the garden outside and bird sanctuary. On our last visit she was talking about my sunglasses and decided she wanted to try them on... I got some cute pictures and a wonderful picture of my grandmother and great aunt together (sisters). AGAIN, we are going to court Thursday and would appreciate EVERY PRAYER!!

PUPPY LOVE

Puppies First Bath...

Puppy Luke's FIRST Party! We had some wonderful friends come over and celebrate Memorial Day Grillin' Out! Luke did a great job wearing his T-shirt, he wore it all day and didn't fuss, which is good news considering all those Alabama outfits we got for the fall :)

We had Luke about 9 days when we went to his first checkup. When I picked him up he was about 1.3lbs (so little) His first check up he was 2.4 WOW! And Now he's even bigger! I wonder how much he'll wiegh Monday when we go for our last round of shots???
